Car tires and wheels for auto background

One of the best ways in preventing a problem is anticipating it.   In other words:  by knowing the probable things that can go wrong, you can prevent it from happening to you.

This truism is also applicable to your tires.

Even if you have various car apps, that won’t prevent tire problems.  Tire problem is one of the things we don’t want to think about. However, if you really like to avoid having them, you should at least know what the most common ones are. If you are still clueless about what they are, here are some of the most common problems that could happen to your tires.

Bald Tires

When your tires get worn out, they can have a bald appearance. This looks like they have a smooth surface and their treads are already gone. Worn-out tires can happen due to use. They are not irreplaceable although they are created to be durable.

The rubber material is bound to be worn out with use. Also, don’t forget that the tires support the whole weight of the vehicle. There are many different factors that could affect the wear and tear of your tires. It may be due to your driving style, the conditions of the road, the weather, and if you take care of them.

The next time you use your car, make sure to inspect your tires. A visual inspection of all of your four tires should be made. It only takes minutes to look closely at each of them and figure out if they are worn out. Worn out and bald tires need to be replaced because they are prone to tire blowouts.

Uneven Treads

Although the car uses the four tires all at once, they may not be worn out and go bald at the same rate. Sometimes, one or more tires may appear more worn out than the others. You could see these in the treads.

The uneven wear of the treads could be a sign of suspension issues. If the car is properly seated, the tires should be rolling smoothly and there shouldn’t be any uneven wear. With uneven tires, you should suspect that the alignment is off. Misalignments can wear out new tires in as little as a few month’s use. Check your alignment whenever you get new tires and always have the alignment checked regularly to prevent this problem.

Flat Spots

It is also possible for your tire to have uneven treads on one area. These can be described as flat spots. When you see these, they could mean that there is a mechanical problem with your tires. This is the reason why your rounded tires may look a bit off. They could appear misshapen. Bad chocks are a common cause of this problem.

Additionally, it could also be due to parking the car for extended periods of time. With that, a part of your tire is flattened because it takes most of the pressure.

Squealing Tires

Turn a corner and your car squeals like there is no tomorrow. That squealing sound is most likely caused by your car. The reason for this could be due to under-inflated tires, tire misalignment, or worn-out treads. No matter what the cause is, you should check your tires and don’t ignore the issue.

Vibration At Fast Speeds

Have you ever felt a vibration in your vehicle just because you passed the 55 miles per hour mark? Well, that may be due to your tires. It is possible that they are out of balance. This is a simple problem and could be easily fixed by a mechanic. Your car would be placed in a balancing machine then counterbalancing weights will be used to adjust the balance. This will make sure that your tires roll smoothly.

Tires are wearable items, and sometime they can fail unexpectedly.  When you experience an unplanned flat tire call All Set Towing Company today…
